  • How do I use Vietladders to recruit?

    Vietladders should be used as a do-it-yourself web-based recruitment service. If you are looking for people to fill senior level positions, this is the place to start. And here is how:

    a. Create a job posting: Upon becoming a Vietladders corporate member, you can post unlimited jobs. However, these jobs can not be viewed by anyone until you choose to make an offer to someone.

    b. Use Talent Search to find suitable candidates: Leverage our advanced search options to look through our entire database to find the people that fit. You can save their profiles into our CV Filing system for later use.

    c. Offer the candidates to interview: Once you find the right candidate, offer to talk to them. Please note that an offer must always be associated with a job.

    d. If the candidate accepts the offer: they will show you their contact information. You can get in touch with them to schedule the interview. Please note that Vietladders debit your account an introduction fee at this stage.

    e. Once the interview takes place (or cancelled for some reasons): You need to provide feedback on the candidate to confirm interview fee payment (or refuse payment).

    f. Pay introduction and interview fee: Upon receiving our invoice, you can pay Vietladders and we will send the interview money to the candidates.

  • Why can’t I change the details of a job that I posted?

    A job can be changed until you offer it to someone. Once an offer related to a job is extended out, you can not change that job. If you need to make adjustments, you need to withdraw all offers, delete the job and create a new job posting.
  • What is counter-offer?

    If you made an offer to a candidate and this person feels that the interview price is too low, he/she can suggest a different amount. If you accept it, the offer is immediately considered accepted and you can view the candidate’s name and contact information. If you think it’s too high, you can suggest a lower amount and send it back to the candidate.
  • Can I offer zero interview fees?

    Regardless of the asking interview prices by the candidates, you can choose to offer no money at all. This way, you know for sure the candidate is really interested in the job if he/she accepts the interview offer.

    However, you might miss out the chance to pitch your job to a highly qualified candidate who is not thinking about changing job but might be convinced to do so if certain factors are in place. After all, wanting to get paid to attend an interview is not a bad thing. Some candidates value their time and do not want to waste it on recruiters who are not serious. Offering to pay indicates your serious intention and your appreciation of the candidates’ values.

  • What is Saigon Times Foundation?

    Saigon Times Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to the development of human capital and education in Vietnam.

    Some of our candidates choose to donate their interview fees to STF. In this case, the interview fees you pay to Vietladders will go to STF instead of the candidates. Please note that Vietladders still charges an introduction fee as normal.

  • Do I get VAT invoice for the fees?

    Yes you can. Please note that the introduction fees payable to Vietladders and the interview fees payable to the candidates does not include VAT. When Vietladders collects the interview fees on behalf of the candidates and introduction fees, we will issue VAT invoice for the company and will charge a 10% VAT on the total amount.
  • What do I need to do if I want to refuse payment to a candidate?

    By default, Vietladders will track the number of accepted interview offers and will assume that the interviews take place. Thus, we will send you an invoice for the introduction fees and the interview fees at the end of every month. If you are not happy with a candidate for one of the above reasons, you need to provide feedback on that candidate and indicate that you do not want to pay any fees for this candidate. When we receive this information, we will inform the candidate and at the same time, remove that interview offer from the invoice we send you at month end.
  • Can I change my feedback on a candidate?

    Yes, you can change any feedback you have on the candidate. The candidate will be informed of your feedback changes in an email. Please note that once you confirm that you will pay the candidate, you can not change this. It is because upon your confirmation, we will credit the candidate’s account, debit your account, and send out the invoice.
